Monthly tuition remains constant regardless of the number of lessons received in any given month. 30 minute lessons $60 monthly 45 minute lessons $80 monthly Overdue Tuition If a monthly payment is not received by the 15th of the month, a $5.00 overdue fee will be added. Book Deposit All students are required to make a $30.00 book deposit at the beginning of the semester or at time of enrollment. A record will be kept of all book expenses and other miscellaneous fees. When the $30.00 is depleted, a copy of the expense record will be given to the parents and another $30.00 will be deposited. If the student should terminate lessons, any unused deposit will be refunded. Missed Lessons Make-up lessons will only be given when 24-hour notice is given for sickness, or if sudden extreme weather conditions occur. If you wish, you can have your name, phone number, and lesson time published on a "lesson swap" list. All students who choose to be on the swap list will receive a copy and can then rearrange lessons for important and unavoidable conflicts. (Students whose names are not on the swap list will not receive a copy.) I must be notified in advance of changed lesson times. If a student cannot attend the lesson for reasons other than those listed above and cannot arrange a swap, the lesson is forfeited. If I cannot attend a lesson for reasons other than those listed above, and cannot arrange a swap, I will forfeit the income. Supplies Students should bring the following to each lesson: * instrument * reeds * band/orchestra/piano books * assignment book * any other music you're currently working on Message to Parents: Remember to work with your child in setting up a daily practice schedule as soon as each new season approaches, whether it is the school year or summer vacation. A "set time" each day will help them remember without constantly having to be reminded and will also help insure that you are getting your money's worth out of music lessons. The study of music is rewarding and enjoyable, but it is also work! It is probably the first serious commitment your child has ever made. As you know, your child will be only as committed as you are. Each student will move along as quickly as the assigned material is sufficiently mastered. It is my sincere desire that my teaching and your support at home (with encouragement, praise, and discipline when needed) will form an affective team. By working together we can make music one of the most enjoyable experiences your child will ever encounter. This is one of the few avenues of training that they will carry with them for an entire lifetime. Miscellaneous
